Pitino practiced Anderson full out for 3 days. He was ready. Anderson begged him to play. Pitino was looking out for Pitino's future. Always has, except dining out experiences, and ...Comment

I agree, but there have been stories that sound incredibly similar to Juzang’s time here. Allegedly, Hopkins’ mind was made up, then he had that good game against…I can’t remember now, but it pulled him back a bit. Since then, though? Almost no minutes to speak of.
We’ll see.Comment

So he's saving his reputation so he can go pro? That's not doing the kids any favors. But that's Cal's MO. Shoves them into the pros so they can get what they can get, even if he could have developed them over a few years and they would have made 10x at least. I don't get it. I know that Cal has a great heart and wants to help kids achieve. But why not help them achieve more? And I know the argument about them getting career ending injury. Top of your head name college players that have had career ending injuries. I'm not saying it's not possible. But the odds just aren't there vs improving draft and income.
He’s just way behind. Gobs of natural talent, but he hasn’t been playing the game all that long and he’s maybe as strong as a toddler. If he sticks around and puts in the work, he could be a very interesting sophomore.
This year, though? He’s just not ready.Comment

No, I don’t think that’s the case with Collins. He’s nowhere close to any draft boards. If he doesn’t play here next year, it’ll be because he has transferred.

So if that's the case, he's not good enough? Then turn him loose. He's not the player we need.Comment

Evidently he's not a good fit. That's fine. Is rather let him go than ruin the team. At this point I wouldn't have in contact with the team. I would turn him loose. Toxic is toxic. No room for that.Comment

What does Pitino have to gain from not playing his best player in the National title game?

Tell me? Other than looking that he was only about the player's best interest. Rick left, after year after year of speculation that he would leave. And Rick never squashed those. He loved the attention. Thrived on it. I was glad to see him to go. And then, when Ky consulted Pitino about the next Ky coach, he said that Donovan want ready., Tubby was. There you go. Pitino didn't want anyone to be better than he was here.Comment
