    Healing Up

Sahvir Wheeler and TyTy Washington have been out for a couple of games, Wheeler with an apparent wrist injury and Washington with an ankle injury. With Arkansas coming up on Saturday it would be excellent timing to get our starting guards back in the lineup.

What do you guys think? Any chance they're back Saturday or are they still out for another game (or 2) ?

I would love for them to play but I think they will be sitting this weekend.

I bet Wheeler plays, but TyTy stays on the shelf until tourney time.

This is the one where I'll say there's no way we win with both out. It'll be a tough task even if we magically have both.

Cal is clearly doing some load management with those two guys, and it's paid off so far. But tomorrow's a different animal.

Tournament seeding isn't the end-all/be-all of course, but even if we lose tomorrow and finish strong we'll be in good position for a 2 seed. Not much difference in a 1 or a 2. But just in terms of momentum it's a big game. Win it and we could put ourselves right on the 1 line no matter what anybody else does this weekend.

I'm not sure that we can say that, at least not yet.

While we have not been bitten by their absence yet, neither player has returned and we can't guarantee that it will be seamless when they do. Timing will be interesting. I think the team has shown that they can win big and while the performances of Kellan/Davion have been promising, I'd still like to see TyTy hitting the groove again as tournament time approaches.

I can't justify this, but for some reason I think Sahvir can bounce back a bit more easily. Hopefully the wrist thing was simply a sprain.

I know the numbers don’t reflect it, but I have been more impressed with the Arkansas defense than the LSU defense.
Williams looks for anyone that he can get in front of to take a charge. Will be a tough game on their floor.

I see no reason to be concerned about a seamless reentry into the lineup. These guys played a lot of games together before our guards got hurt. No reason to think all that chemistry has dried up in a three-game span.
