West Virginia is example A of why you don't poke the bear or wildcat in this instance. Total beatdown. I haven't watched it yet so I can't comment much on it. UK dominated in every stat. When they arre totally engaged no one is beating them. The next step is to take this type of effort against a team that doesn't get their ire up. I'm just guessing Notre Dame will be showering compliments on them all day today and may jusy meet them at half court before the game with a bouquet of roses.Kentucky fan since 1971.Comment

Some things of note:
If UK didn't score a point after the half they still would have won by five.
Worst loss for a West Virginia team in the NCAA's;worst loss for a Huggins coached team in the NCAA's and it tied the biggest win at 39 points for a sweet sixteen game.
Aaron Harrison's injury shouldn't be too much of a problem. Its on his non shooting hand and I'm sure he will be getting constant treatment today and basically all day tomorrow since UK doesn't play until 8:49 pm.Kentucky fan since 1971.Comment

Dakari played one of the better games of his career last night. For the first time in a long time he wasn't getting swarmed when he got it in the post, and he made WVU pay.
He's going to need that sort of effort tomorrow. Notre Dame is a team that you can really get to inside.Last edited by Joneslab; 03-27-2015, 07:53 AM.Comment

We need Towns to dominate the post against Notre Dame and for our defense to lock them down and not give them open looks on the perimeter. W. State was right there with Notre Dame until they hit those three 3's in a row and it was over.Comment

Agreed.. To be honest, i like Barkley and his NBA talk but he's just as bad when it comes to the college game. He can't even get players names and right half the time.......Comment

You missed a FUN one...one of the best games I have watched as a UK fan.
The ONLY thing that didn't go well last night was Towns. Was pretty much awful from start to finish. No idea what he was doing but he was on another planet from everyone else. I thought Cal was going to strangle him on the sideline.
I fully expect him to get focused and be ready for tomorrow night. We will need him.Comment

From CBS Sports Matt Norlander
When West Virginia's locker room opened for the media after the game, Miles Jr. was not under his placard, not sitting by his locker. He wasn't on the other side of the building either, meeting with the media .
Miles Jr. was instead preparing himself for strangers' faces to cram into his personal space, to deal with something that clearly got bigger than he could have ever expected. Tucked around a corner, in the team's bathroom, Miles Jr. was waiting out the mob. When a media member approached one of his teammates for an interview in the small hallway leading to the bathroom, Miles Jr. then dipped into the handicap lavatory and closed the door behind him, his frizzy hair peeking above the tall stall.
WVU assistant Erik Martin sauntered over and said a few quiet words to Miles Jr. His head deliberately shook at the freshman. After Martin stepped away, Miles Jr. came out of the bathroom a few seconds later, and when he sat down, he went full Marshawn Lynch.
"Kentucky played great," Miles Jr. said after being asked if he had any regrets over the faulty prediction. He repeated that phrase or some variation of it approximately 10-12 times over the next minute. He's just an 18-year-old kid, in his first NCAA Tournament, and to expect complete remorse or lucid pontification in the moments after the most humiliating loss of his young career is unfair.

LOL. This sounds like the description of somebody who's been through war.
Here's Norlander's full article, by the way. I like his comment that West Virginia went on a "blinding 4-0 run" in the game.
We may never see punishment like that again our lifetimes this late in the NCAA Tournament. That was totally crazy what happened last night.Comment

Someone should remind the Baxter kid from WVU that an alligator mouth can easily overload a HUMMINGBIRD rear end!!!!!Comment

A day later and it still feels great having dominated every aspect of that game. And it's still unfortunate the refs decided to impose their will and call the game in a way they haven't called it all season long.Comment
