Hearing Coach O might be coming back, folks.

Matt Jones is alluding to this now, though not in specifics. Says he'd be 'absolutely shocked' if the staff looks the same next year.

Justus not going to UNCG as they named a new coach today.

Some now say he will be considered for the Radford opening.

I do. I always want our assistants to get a HC job, but I think Justus is important to UK right now. Get rid of the waste instead.

U of Illinois held an athletics event tonight, which the men’s basketball staff attended — that is, all but Coach O, who was “feeling under the weather.”

Why not replace Barbee, can’t see what he brings to table at U.K. I actually think Flynn is a pretty good coach who DID have some success as a head coach, plus he hasn’t been here long enough to really evaluate him, though he did an excellent job managing the game Cal was ejected.

We don’t know who will be replaced (if anyone, though it sounds likely). Very well could be Barbee.

Coaching changes (multiple) almost seem like a certainty at this point. I think Antigua is coming back and I was told today that Cal is trying to bring in another person "specifically for the goal of landing a current high school recruit". The only player that seems to fit something like that would be Jaden Hardy but I don't know that for sure.

As some of us discussed when Cade’s brother left OkSt, I’d be totally fine with Cal doing this if it lands us Hardy. Does it seem slimy? Yeah, but it isn’t illegal, so let’s do it.

I just assumed Jaden Hardy was off the board completely after what happened with Terrence Clarke. Clarke and Hardy were on the same AAU team and that couldn't have gone worse. Would be weird for Hardy to choose UK after that unless there's some kind of sweet deal involved--like hiring his dad or something.

Totally agree. I'm good with anything that stays on the edge of the rules.

I wasn't told it was Hardy and am not saying that's who it is but he's really the only one that would seem to make any sense. Maybe Jalen Duren in 2022?

Well, Tubby Smith who was by all accounts World's Best Person hired Simeon Mars to get Jamaal Magloire. So, you know, if he can do that then why can't Cal do the same thing 24 years later?
