Hard to tell much from a game like this. But, not much to be excited about outside of Karl and Andrew.

A bunch of TOs in the second half and some pretty bad defense.

Outscoring Hampton by 2 points this half - pathetic effort. Crowd is pathetic as well, most have left, people still here not real excited.

        19-8 Hampton run.

Here is someone we haven't even talked about Aaron only has 2 points and those were FTs. Three KY players who have had bad games.

He now has 3 points all from the free throw line.

I wish that I wasn't wishing this game would end, but...I am. It's late, I'm tired, and this just needs to end. Let's be glad for the win and move on.

Willis had a wide open shot and should have taken.

That effort gets you beat on Saturday. Brutal second half to sit through.

Started slow, looked good in the middle, then took their foot off the gas. I feel Cal isn't in the business of embarrassing opponents like Hampton. Expect a much better effort against Cincinnatti. They better bring it because they will make it a war. WCS better get out of his funk from this game because he will get abused if he doesn't.

In 2012, Kentucky only beat Western Kentucky by 15. Actually getting outscored by them by four in the 2nd Half. They responded well enough, beating Iowa State by 16. Nothing to worry about in terms of effort, Kentucky could have won this game by 40+ if they wanted to I think.

I haven't watched the game yet so I can't comment too much. I pretty much agree with Cal, that waiting around for an extra hour to start the game probably made them sluggish. Throw in the fact they were heavy favorites and you get the idea. Most teams let up after getting a big lead. UK lead by 35 and knew they had the game. UK dominated all the stats. In a day of close games UK had the 2nd biggest win of the day at 23 points. Only Villanova had a bigger one at a whopping 40 points. So its safe to say they took care of business. They will have to come out ready for a real street fight Saturday. if they don't then it may be a quick ending to the season. But I think they know that and will be OK against a medicore Cincinnati team.

Exactly. We could have beat that team by 50 if they wanted to, but why? What would that have done? We started slow due to a combination of things. Being the heavy favorite, playing in front of 20,000 fans essentially making it a home game, having our shortest starter essentially the same height as their tallest, the OT game before, late night game, etc etc. At this point of the season there is only one question that needs to be answered and it is yes or no. Did we win? The answer is yes and nothing else matters. Not the fact that we let them outscore us up to a point in the second half, not that WCS had a rough game, not that so and so didnt make enough shots, nothing. The fact is we won and moved on to the next round. But, even that, on top of being undefeated and number 1, isnt good enough for some people.
