That would mean Cal's coaching is good enough. At one time it was but anymore I wonder just what he is teaching. We can't even do basic fundamentals. If he is coaching hard and the guys still don't get? Then I guess HS basketball anymore is just a glorified scrimmage/all star game and these guys aren't taught the game well. I'm just throwing something out there because this is the worst fundamentally sound basketball team I may have seen on any level.

Wills observation is telling...a lotta quit, a lot of it's just an AAU game, a whole bunch of it really doesnt matter as long as I get where I want.

While I realize the days are gone where kids woul sacrifice, ride the pine and work up just to wear the UK uniform....this is pretty bad.

If we are gonna play this bad with this much talent, recruit a year of Kentucky players....I think they would play harder.

But, why should they? I don't mean I think it's ok for them not to. But, SI just released an updated mock draft and it still has Boston at #16 and Jackson at #25. These guys are still leaving regardless so at this point (4-9 and no shot at the tourney) I'm not sure what motivation they have to play hard.

They are a bunch of weak (mentally and physically) players who just aren't any good. Cal should get plenty of the blame but there's only so much he can so with such a terrible roster. I know he created it but every coach in America would have taken BJ and Clarke in an instant. They just haven't even been 50% of the players everybody thought they would be.

It will be a big gut punch to lose 5-6 guys from a team that is going to finish the season with 6 or 7 wins. That's the worst part of it all.

I just started a thread about this, but if you look at the roster, you'll see that it's quite possible we could lose nine players from this team.

5-6 is being conservative, IMO

Then you have the Fletcher situation. I doubt he is back. That's 6. I highly doubt Brooks returns, that's 7.

I don’t think they are. I think they’re normal freshmen who might be good in a couple of years.
