This debacle is NOT on any of our players. It's on Cal and whom ever else is responsible for recruiting. Just a gut feel, but I believe our recruiting group have just gotten lazy and choose to rely more on "stars" and 3rd party evaluations in lieu of reviewing high school tape until the wee hours of the morning. There is no excuse for expecting some of our recent recruits to be in the starting 5 out of the gate. Athletic? Yes. Ready for prime time? Absolutely not. Not this week. Not next month, Not this year.

When I was there for undergrad, I felt that it became the case that the football team eclipsed the basketball team. It was just for a second and the numbers absolutely didn't bare it out, but on campus I thought that there was a special feeling around the FB program during the '07 and '08 seasons. BCG being hired temporarily gave the basketball team a shot in the arm and at the same time football began sliding back to its historically dreadful self.

If we'd gone 6-4 with a bowl win this past season, I fully believe that Stoops would be BMOC. That's wild to think about when Calipari is being paid 20 billion dollars and access to Pappy's warehouse yearly. I understand having a down season but this extends beyond basketball at this point.

These are strange times.

According to the box score, Boston played 27 minutes, which I question, had 5 pts, 5 boards, 5 turnovers, 1 assist, and he did have 3 steals. Allen played 23 minutes, which I also doubt, had 8 pts, 1 board and zeros in the other areas. Put Allen in and our offense looks entirely different, and he at least hustles on defense.

Allen should shoot every time he gets the ball no matter what. Then Cal would bench him for shooting to much.

He needs too. The guy is the second highest paid coach in basketball and he isn’t getting it done.

Sports Illustrated says he is the highest paid coach. Either way he is not earning his salary.

I thought what happened to UNC last yr would never happen at UK, especially with Cal. Guess I was wrong

I have always been a strong Cal supporter, but things he has done this year are changing my mind, and it has nothing to do with the loses.
