        I doubt Calipari hangs around Lexington even if he retires from UK. Seems a bit too low-energy for him.

        Plus, many have speculated this isn't Cal's last stop in his career. I tend to agree.

          Most of you guys didnt live through this: Joe Hall was likely the most despised man in the State. He followed the legend that was bitter at leaving UK.
          it was always Halls fault...every loss.
          he protected his players from the media. He always, always, ALWAYS stated he was the caretaker of Kentucky basketball....not the star.
          I'm glad he outlived all the hatred to know that the fans not only respect him, but in their own way love him.

            I remember some of this. Coach Hall was an assistant to Coach Rupp when the reins changed. I don't remember Rupp objecting to retiring, but any coach who followed Rupp would have gotten the same treatment.

              I remember things the same way Bill does. If I remember correctly, coach Rupp even tried to get UK to change the school's mandatory retirement age in order that he could remain as coach.
