Reading one of the other boards I remembered that kid from Kentucky who transferred from Belmont, wanted to transfer to Kentucky, Cal passed, and he went to Xavier instead (I think he was mentiond in the Kentucky Kids thread but I wasn't sure of his name).

I am not someone who thinks life after Cal is gonna be rosy but, man, this season is pissing me off.

This information makes me believe that the words, Spoiled Brats, is the best description of our team. It seemed to me that all players were trying to run the offense last Saturday including Boston, then everything stopped when Boston got the ball a second time. I know he was our leading scorer, but he took the most shots. Granted the offense should go through him and Sarr on every set. I'm just not happy with Boston given all the hype about him.

The way he has got all these five star studs to buy in over the years has been pretty amazing, but the culture keeps changing and these kids are gonna just get worse and worse about coming in and "expecting" things.

Instant gratification is the name of the game, and they know that there are hundreds of teams out there that they can play all the minutes they want as well as put up all they shots they want.

Adam Kunkelman, or something like that. To be fair, I believe his recent game-winner is his sole highlight, thus far.

Adam Kunkel. Saw him play in the King of the Bluegrass three or four years ago.

            UNREAL high school player.

That statement was released before Cal asked him to go home.

Apparently he was at the airport trash talking Cal after he posted that.

Times are a'changing. Not defending Coach Cal, cuz he, too, has been slipping.......but are we finally confronted, first hand, with the "Snowflake Generation"? I don't like what I'm seeing on the court, and it begins with a "softness" I've never seen before.

I'll be honest now: I'm not surprised about issues with Fletcher. You heard a whisper here-and-there when he was in HS and playing on AAU circuit. I was surprised he selected UK (thought he would go to a program where he thought he would "shine") and the next thing that flashed in my head as the season got closer was, I wonder if Fletcher will make it thru the entire season or transfer after year 1? Seriously, I thought about this! I just didn't share it... lets see how this plays out.

I'll soften it/nothing detail since we are talking about a kid/young adult: can be moody, like most young people thinks he has all the answers, thinks his b-ball skills are better than they actually are because he really started blowing up during EYBL circuit.

I sort of agree, but there are PLENTY of other teams who seem to have zero snowflakes. And if they are, then those guys are just bought in to their program's expectations. Then again, no other program has a model like ours. You know, piss on tradition and the concept of a team. Just get me to the league.

You all have to admit, Cal has changed. He just isn't the dude he was 5-6 yrs ago. We dont have nearly the same staff either. Kenny Payne leaving is a lot more of an issue than anyone wants to admit. Some of this is the mix of players, but a majority of it is the coaching coming from from multiple coaches, but Cal more than any other has just changed. He's losing his ability to run a program the way he wanted to 5-7 years ago. There are many levels to this, some out of Cal's control, but his stubbornness is biting him in the butt this year.
