I actually think we'll be fine on Tuesday night. We might not win, but Kansas isn't going to be nearly as disciplined as Richmond was today. They ran their stuff perfectly, even when they weren't hitting anything. And in the second half, some of those shots started falling, at the same time our intensity was fading.

This team is going to take some time, but I think they still have a huge ceiling.

Losing at home to mid majors is unacceptable and makes me furious, but I've also learned that carrying around a sky is falling attitude does nothing to help. Especially when we've seen the process. And you act as if our "results" the past few years are so dire. We've won SEC titles and were literally a bounce away from the FF twice in those four seasons... of course if we did make those FFs, you would find something else to hang your narrative on. I remember your hand wringing during Cals First five years, too. It's just ingrained in your DNA; everybody on this board and Rafters knows your M.O. just own it, man.

There are things about the program right now that I'm not thrilled about, but I also like our team and I like the possibilities of the roster. You should, too. Listening to you youd think we were suffering through Billy Clyde seasons. I bet you were a ball back then.

Kentucky is still one of the premier programs in college basketball and this team will be just fine. and I still dont know why you waste time following them if they make you so miserable, which they obviously do.

Regarding whether or not Kentucky can shoot: nobody can shoot when the ball doesn't move.

It's impossible to say if we have shooters or not. The shots we were getting were out-of-balance, badly-spaced, pretty much desperation hoists for the most part. Almost none came out of any kind of "offense" we were running.

You don't hit shots like that at any level.

Thought the looks we were getting against Morehead were very good. Most of them were inside-out and worked through Olivier Sarr. We saw none of that today for some reason, mainly because we badly needed Sarr to score.

I was beyond cool with our team in 2020 headed to the tourney.

I really liked that team last year and think they pretty much maxed out. But they would've needed some help to actually win six games in the tournament. They didn't have that kind of roster.

Of the last few years really the 2019 team with Herro and Washington was the team that was built the best to actually win the whole thing. The other teams post 2015 would've needed a lot of breaks.

The reason is obvious: guys who were staying early in Cal's tenure are leaving. Now what's happening is he has to basically reinvent the team every season, whereas in the beginning of his run he had those returners who could get him through the learning curve.

We basically lose the whole roster every season and have to rebuild it back. Teams like that don't come out looking like juggernauts in November. They're going to have to learn how to play with each other.
