It was good to watch some form of basketball. Agree with all said above. I thought the guy that surprised me the most was Ware. Looked like he moved well and had some good feet.

I thought the same thing about Ware. If he gets in the weight room he could be another Rick Roby type of guy. Great feet for a big man.

Inexplicably, Big Blue Madness is tonight at 9:00.
The unofficial start to the college basketball season is here. Kentucky basketball’s historic preseason event, Big Blue Madness, is scheduled for this evening at 9 p.m. ET, officially tipping off the 2020-21 seasons for the UK men’s and women’s basketball teams. Like Kentucky’s Pro Day last week, tonight’s event will take place in Memorial Coliseum, […]Comment

Our length will be the first thing that pops out. It's a danged shame we have this kind of team during these times. Will take some lumps early like all Cals teams but has the makings to be very special.Isaiah 5:20👍 1Comment

I saw a clip on Twitter. It was really strange with the setting being in Memorial and no fans present.Philippians 4:11-4:13Comment

Nothing much to see but it was UK basketball so I watched.
The way they had old players introducing the new guys was awesome.
Mintz and Sarr continue to look like by far our best shooters.
Isaiah Jackson jumps off the screen as much as any player Cal has had.
And one interesting thing from Cal's comments: he says he's had to tell this team to play faster and throw the ball ahead more. I've heard him say that a couple times now. Suggests he's trying to coach effort a little. What's interesting about that is that this UK team has a bevy of long, lithe players. Those guys (think Tayshaun) are usually of the "smooth" variety, but are generally not workhorses. They've gotten by on their fludity rather than their hustle. Almost everybody on this team is built like that. You hope we've got at least a couple of guys who are going to play super-hard, because if not the sport of basketball will show you up. At its core this is an effort game as much as a talent game.

Fairly brutal to watch. The "scrimmage" gets trashier every year. Watching them jack up half court shots for 10 minutes just doesn't do much for me.
But 2 things really stood out to me. With Mintz's age and experience I'm hoping he'll be the man at PG. Seeing him hit his 1st 12 or 13 3's in the contest without touching the rim was awesome. The next best shooting performance was our 7 footer--pretty impressive!
Finally was Jackson's 1st dunk in that contest. Basically Jordan's iconic dunk from the FT line--but with a windmill! His knuckles may have scraped the speaker system. If he does that in a game I'll never recover.Comment

My wife was watching a show and being the thoughtful husband I am, I didn't interrupt her.
