Which might be the reason Kentucky wasn't even really being considered.

Maybe so. I’ve always operated under the assumption that everyone is “dirty” (which, what is “dirty” if everyone’s doing it?), but if Cal really does pull these recruits without ponying up some cash, then we probably don’t appreciate him enough, to say the least.
