She's fine. Just turned three. Sleeping through the night is beginning to be a shaky proposition. Lots of Trolls songs. And crappy Netflix kid shows.

Potty training is going well, so that's a plus.

I like that he doesn't hold back the adult vocabulary. An excavator is an excavator. Hydraulic pumps are hydraulic pumps. But that fast-forward laugh makes me want to fake my death and move to Montana.

Are you familiar with that guy's pre-Blippi career? Look that up for a laugh.

(Now I'm interested in the frozen raspberry process. Is it more than just sticking fresh raspberries in a freezer?)

My kid loves ceiling fans videos on YouTube. He’s very much a kid who’s curious about how things work, I think fan are just the manifestation of that ...I hope. There’s a lot of weirdos on YouTube posting fan videos.

We finally broke down and got my kid an iPad at the start of all this to distract him so we could work. There’s a PBS kids app that teaches potty training using Elmo and I’ve never wanted to see Elmo wipe his arse less.

Ah, I love the young kid talk on this thread. Reminds me of a bygone era. Also: I have no idea who those people are you all are talking about.

Wait til your kids are in their teens, boys. It's gonna get fun. We're spending time trying to figure out how to keep my son and his girlfriend contained in one room while my 12-year-old daughter is trying to post YouTube videos of herself singing a song called "I Love Choccy Milk." Yesterday my wife and I went for a walk--one upside about having older kids is you can leave them home alone while you have a life out of the house--but got a call about halfway to the park. It's my son Facetiming us. He's literally carrying my daughter through the neighborhood like a firefighter. She'd wrecked her bike. The way he was yelling for us to come home you would've thought the daughter's foot had been torn off. Got home, checked her out...it was a bruise.
