No, not this team, not this year. Have we seen an A game yet from this team? Maybe UL game.but that seems like an anomaly at this point.

Could we upset someone if we play our A+ game and they play a C or D game? Sure. But there are a LOT of teams who can play a B type game and still beat UK with no problem.

This UK team just has way too many holes and issues.

How can you seriously say they are getting better? They are 4-2 in their last 6 and 8-4 in the last 12. That also includes a double digit deficit to Vandy.

Who/where is the improvement coming from?

They're definitely better. The team we saw back in November couldn't have gone into Texas Tech and won, and likely would've gotten blown out by Auburn.

The problem is that improvement in college basketball usually doesn't work in an incremental upward line. For most teams it's play well, revert, play really well, play really poor, have a great game, look awful, etc. It's all fits and spurts, particularly because the road in college basketball is very tricky to win on. These are college kids, remember. They're not going to turn into a machine and just tear through everybody unless they're very special. We've only seen something like that two, three times in my years of watching UK.

The thing with good college basketball teams is that they find a way to win when they aren't playing well. This team hasn't figured that out yet.

Over the years the hardest thing for me as a UK fans has been to accept the fact we are not winning every game by 30 points or more. Yes we have taken a few bad losses and yes i complain about the refs time to time but overall i still think we have a shot, that is all i can ask for....

When did we ever win every game by 30 points or more?

Because that's what I believe! If you can't see improvement, it won't help if I explained it to you. If you don't agree so be it, we are both eligible to have an opinion. GO CATS!!!

How about in the very game you mentioned. We were down to Vandy by 10 then got it together and won going away. That didn't happen against Evansville.

But we have to have Richards and Hagans show up. IQ looks really good. Need Maxey to play under control. Montgomery has a ways to go but is clearly not as bad as he was the first 3rd of the season. Still need another one or to to step it up. I don't see it being Nate unless we run into a slow opponent. Still hoping JJ or Brooks "find something" before it's too late.

I guess my best hope for another contributor is Juzang. He's not exactly burning the nets but I think he's looking more comfortable on the floor than he did early.

There's always a chance. UK lost on 2/1/98 and 2/14/98 at home.
