That was an hour and a half of nearly unwatchable basketball.Regular Season half over as of tonight. We will be in a hole if we lose Saturday. The problem with this team in conference play is they aren’t really a lock to beat anybody, anywhere

This loss is no big deal. Playing on the road in the SEC is always tough, USC always gives UK a good game, Frank Martin always has his guys ready to go.

This will teach our team a lesson. They will definitely rebound from this and put a beat down on Arkansas

I feel a big run coming for this team. Probably won’t lose another game until the NCAA tourney.

Hagans is an awesome defender, Whitney is just about to turn the corner, Juzang’s time is coming I can feel it. EJ is about to bust out in a big way, I feel a 20 and 10 game coming from him soon.

SEC regular season champs, SEC tourney champs and a 1-2 seed are in the cards for this team!! Oh yeah, Cal will be SEC coach of the year, Maxey player of the year, Hagans defender of the year, IQ the sixth man of the year!!!!

This UK team is not good and could easily be 14-7 (and out of NCAA tourney) in 2 weeks.

they just aren’t good, nothing we can do and probably not even worth complaining about. Way too many issues and holes and no difference makers. It’s a shame and really all on Cal.
How many teams have multiple wins over top five teams?

We all saw the stats leading into the game that Cal usually doesn't start 4-0 in the SEC or 2-0 on the road. Also, he seems to struggle at USC for some reason. It isn't the end of the season.

Serious question: If I start a GoFundMe to buy out crazzed and his fanhood would anyone donate? He's got us down as a none seed if we're lucky although we were the number ten team in the country before the game.

Didn’t realize the committee used the AP poll for seeding. Silly me thought they used the Net rankings. Those will have UK at about #30 after tonight which would be an 8 seed currently. What do I know though???

This was a really bad loss. Playing on the road in the SEC is always tough, USC always gives UK a good game, and Frank Martin usually has his guys ready to go.

This will teach our team a lesson. Definitely looking forward to see if we can rebound against Arkansas.

I think this team has the potential for a run, but they will definitely lose some more games before the NCAA tournament.

Hagans is an awesome defender, but turns the ball over to much and takes ill-advised shots. Whitney isn't a very skilled basketball player, and his first half minutes were a mistake on Cal's part (although he was trying to get him some confidence). Juzang is a spot player at best. EJ has been a disappointment, but shows flashes (like Nick the last couple years). He has had a 20 and 10 game already this year, if I remember correctly.

We will be in contention for SEC regular season champs, and we're always a favorite in the SEC tournament. A one-two seed is probably out of the cards, but there's no reason we can't finish strong and land a 3-4, with some really good opportunities for solid road wins coming up. Cal should not be SEC coach of the year, as this has not been one of his better coaching jobs. Maxey will probably be Freshman of the Year, and Hagans will probably be defender of the year (again). IQ is certainly the best sixth man in college basketball.

In addition: we are not a great basketball team this year. We know this. We will have to scratch and claw for almost every win from here on out. But there are talented basketball players on our roster and we have three very good guards, which is very important in March. And, as we've all noted, college basketball is pretty bad across the board and teams are losing bad games all over the place. There's no reason Kentucky can't be there in contention at the end. Tonight was a bad loss and certainly doesn't make our road going forward any easier, but if we go out and get a hard win Saturday at Arkansas, we're right back where we were. It's mid-January. Can we please throw out the stupid polls and numbers (NET, AP, whatever) and just root the team on as they learn and hopefully keep improving?

This is more realistic than your doom-and-gloom nonsense. If you're going to stat-and-number this particular team into the ground, you are going to be absolutely miserable. Which, knowing you, is about par for the course. So whatever.

Would you like to make some wagers? You said we could very easily be 14-7 in a few weeks and could be as low as a nine. I'm willing to bet neither of those happen. How about a year without posting on this board?

I don't think it's a coincidence that we lost when Whitney and Juzang played more than usual. That's not a knock on those two, but we seemed to be clicking playing seven. That gives more shots for guys like Quickley and Richards, who have clearly earned them. I know foul trouble caused some of that, but this team needs to be a seven man squad.

Giving up 56 second half points to any team is unacceptable.

No way. UK isn’t losing again this year. 36-4 and number 9 coming in April!!!

Anyone can see the talent and potential this team has. This game is just an anomaly. Actually, I think the team did it on purpose so the other teams in college basketball don’t realize how good UK is.

Gave up a career game to 2 opposing players in one game. Can't win too many that way. Gotta learn to challenge without fouling. Richards in foul trouble puts way too much on the plate of Brooks & Whitney. They're just not ready for prime time.
