I don't. Wasn't even close to the restricted area and it was obvious. It was like a bet was on the line. Still. We shouldn't have been in that situation to begin with. Can't wait for Spring football to start.

A poster on KSR brought up a good point. We lost to a team with 11 freshmen. Cal can't use the "we are young" angle anymore.

Eleven freshmen and really only three guys who did much of anything.

My son was in a JV game last night at Jeffersontown High School. Honest to God if Utah's point guard had been playing in that game I would've turned to somebody and said, "Man, that kid looks young."

^ But I'll also say this about Utah: they had a plan. They had an identity. They knew what they wanted to do.

Yeah, Krystkowiak's decision to slow it down for the last 10 minutes and try to sneak out of there with a W almost came back to bite him. But he at least had his team ready and they knew exactly how they wanted to beat us.

What is Kentucky right now? What are we doing out there at any given time? What's the plan, the purpose, the function of what we're doing?

Yes, talent is a concern for Kentucky. And it's also true that if you can't hit shots you always look bad. That's been true since the peach baskets.

But Kentucky is terribly coached, and they were terribly coached at this time last year. If you watch a lot of basketball as most of us do it's easy to see who's coached up and who's just a collection of individuals. Kentucky's out there just doing stuff right now, and it's obvious Cal hasn't put in the necessary work with this team.

I didn’t watch the game last night, but I have to say that the comments and articles I’ve been reading this morning are highly disappointing.

Let me assure you: you missed nothing.

It was one of those games where you could tell how it was going to go after the first TV time-out.

I did not stay up to watch it and I am really glad.

this team is just not any good. They got lucky against a way overrated MSU team and have struggled against one of the worst schedules in the country. They now have two terrible losses on the season with two more blowouts coming.

Looks like Cal’s worst team at UK

                From #1 to unranked....pitiful.

^ I agree with you Crazzed, it is pitiful. Lifetime contracts tend to make people...comfortable

More than that is missing on big men plus just the overall roll of the dice in a given year...sometimes a guy is way better than his ranking, and sometimes he’s not quite ready to lead a program just a few months after graduating high school.

I will say this: this team cannot steal my joy as a UK fan.

Yesterday was a fantastic day for UK as Stoops continues to build our program. He’s working to become BMOC

No, especially since we have some studs coming in next year.

One of the obvious problems right now is just not enough good players. Got a couple, but that ain't enough.

That won't be the case next season.

The disappointing thing is that I'm sure the field will be much better next year. When the overall field has been down in the Cal era, Kentucky tends to be down as well. When we're powerful (2015, 2012, 2010) the field has been pretty powerful.

Also, you have to wonder about the returners on this team. Are they good? I mean, we all knew PJ was good. But say you get Kahlil Whitney back next season. Can he play? It's unclear right now.

It's obvious you can't win titles in this sport with just a fleet of freshmen. You need a couple of good returners. I'm not sure who on this team might return who could give us some talented experience.

Way overrated, a bad collection of players that don’t fit together well, no elite talent, no difference maker, no shooters.

Utah and Evansville are horrendous teams that even a mediocre Cal team used to beat by 15+

Right now it looks like this is going to be a really bad season for UK. 10+ losses and maybe a second round NCAA appearance.

it’s a shame and why I continue to say the blown chances Cal had in 10, 11, 14, and 15 will haunt his legacy as an all time great.

This UK team just sucks to watch. It’s not even fun anymore.

I’m not saying Keldon Johnson would cure all of this team’s woes...but I really would have liked to have him as a sophomore.
