I've never seen anybody try to throw a behind the back pass while driving the baseline.

Sure IT WAS a fluke. But the troubling thing was it didn't LOOK like a fluke. If a novice who knows nothing of tradition or rankings turned that game on and watched they would have thought Evansville was the better team all night. That still bothers me although we're making progress. It should not have happened in this century. And it will affect our seed in the tourney.

Evansville wasn't a fluke - we played like crap the next game too. We were injured and shorthanded and that didn't help at all, but we haven't exactly set the world on fire since the Michigan State win.

Still should have beaten Evansville easily as short-handed as we were.

Hagans' one point against Evansville was definitely flukish and that was a massive reason we lost. I think he airballed at least two lay-ups that game.

Not sure the bad shooting was a fluke but it does look like we're coming out that a bit. Impossible to say at this point whether can be a solid shooting team but I would hope the skid we went through with Evansville and the following game were just blips. If not, we're doomed.

Juzang, and to a lesser extent, Sestina, have to start getting outside shots to fall. Their jump shots are too pretty to miss as badly as they are.

                    .
It was rather embarrassing. You don’t hear of top programs getting beat at home by teams like that.

Feast Week early thoughts. Edwards is a GUN. Obi Toppin is the best player you have never heard of. He will be a lottery pick.

This isn't accurate at all. Last year's team looked pretty good in mid-December onward.

I don't think it was very flukish at all. Hagans struggles with finishing at the rim.

I don't think the takeaway is that different whether we'd won that game by 2 points or lost it frankly. One just looks worse than the other.

Last year seemed to turn it around with the North Carolina win on December 22nd.

They did lose to Alabama a couple of weeks later, but the Carolina game was a glimpse of their potential.

Trouble is, I don't think this current team quite has that potential. The "junk basketball" you see from some teams in November is only a glimpse of who they really are.

Actually they beat an NAIA team after us...and then proceeded to lose three in a row. Then they beat Morgan State 115-112.
