Ben Jordan added to Basketball Team.

Kentucky Baseball Pitcher Ben Jordan has been added to the Basketball team. Jordan is 6'9" and weighs 250 lbs. I doubt he plays much but his size will help the team in practice. He didn't play in the Blue/White game but has been practicing for a few days.

We badly needed Kerry Blackshear. Now the margin for error in the middle is basically nonexistent.

I still can't believe Cal whiffed on Kerry Blackshear. He was an absolute necessity.

I can't believe Blackshear didn't understand that the exact reasons he said he picked Florida were the same reasons that existed at UK. Generally, just wanting to be in Florida won out. But he would have been the man in the frontcourt, played 30+ minutes, and taken UK to prohibitive favorite.

UK has been one player short so often in its history, whether it be injury or odd decisions. Hopefully this team's guard play can offset its deficiency inside. Sestina is huge, Nick must play confidently, and EJ must get rebounds and loose balls and some blocks. This is why Brooks could be key. If he can contribute consistently inside and provide a spark and depth, we'll be a contender.

Study some Villanova small ball and run with it for one year. Then back to Cal's preference next year with the horses to do it.

Blackshear is from Florida so it really shouldn't have been that surprising.
