When i heard him on 84 whas a few weeks ago speaking about the possibility of running for office as a DEMOCRAT, I deleted him KSR and anything related to him, being a Kentucky basketball fan will not get you elected, sorry not sorry.......

To make myself clear, we thought Matt had a strong support for WCN and the type site we have here. He even had a White Castle hamburger eating contest at one of our tailgates. Rick did nix the merger because Jones wanted to run our site his way and Rick wanted to keep our site the way it is.John 3:3

So why not run as a independent? Kentucky basketball is pretty big and most people like him but any party supporting socialism, free for all, delete the second amendment, no more electoral college, antifa, etc. etc. etc... , people here in Kentucky not voting for that.....Comment

Well through all the bs you notice Coach Cal never tips his hat either way when it comes to politics, he's smarter than that, he won't touch that with a 100 foot poll...
A week later Cal is playing golf with whatever that dude's name is, greatest round of golf ever. I guess you gotta do what you gotta do when you your recruiting is failing and you have to reach out to the youth in order to help on the recruiting trail, I see a pattern here. Laying all jokes aside, i know a guy who was with KENTUCKY basketball for over 40 years and is thinking about writing a book. If he does, i am going to suggest him to you. You want to know what the Adolph Rupp Sutton Pitino Tubby era first hand? Don't know much about Jones' politics but he seems to be more of a Kentucky Democrat than a California Democrat. Big difference.
People aren't monoliths who have the same ideas about everything as soon as they register to vote. Most of us have nuanced opinions that don't roll right down the line and adhere to everything political parties tell us to believe. I imagine Matt Jones is the same as the rest of us as far as that goes.
If you're setting your opinions on world issues based on what the parties expect you to believe, then that's sad. From what I know about Jones he doesn't do that.Comment
