Battle of the Stolen Logos (Houston Game Thread)

It's a little early, but I wanted to memorialize what this game is really about...


In 1999 UH stole UK's "new" interlocking UK logo.




In retaliation UK stole UH's "new" interlocking UH in 2016...




Not only will Saturday's game determine who gets to advance to the elite eight, the loser of Sat's game will also get to keep their latest crappy logo!

It's been a personal obsession since I first noticed it in 1999. I thought forever that we stole it from Houston back them, but youtube confirms we had ours first.

Houstin was gonna be my sleeper pick until I saw them in our bracket. I have watched them a couple times this season and came away very impressed each time. Davis and Robinson are their best scorers but they have a lot of guys tgat can score. Watch for Dejon Jarreau. Against UC last month, his defense in that game was just phenominal. This whole team can run the floor and play defense. If no PJ, I don't think we can win this game.

Houston is definitely not gonna go down without a fight. Kelvin Sampson must have made millions of impermissible calls to build this team.

Houston leaders are Davis and Brooks and they both have hit over a 100 3-pointers. Kentucky should control the boards. This team has beaten Oregon and came back being down 15 with LSU to win the game. They lost a tough game to UCF and most of their wins have been blow outs. UK will have the height advantage. I think UK will like the pace of the game as well. I still think UK can win this one without PJ but it will be a war. I think PJ could have a big game if he is able to play and will be able to take advantage inside.

I like this one, but even when we had it, the power K was the goto for on uniform logo's. Some sports did use this one only without the cat.

I hate chewie/staple-remover/birds-sex logo with the passion of a thousand suns. It should be shunned as an antifa would shun a MAGA hat.

I sort of like the stapler logo too but then I realized we (Nike) stole it from Kansas St. and it wasn't nearly as cool anymore.

The power K is undoubtedly the best of all time. I sort of like that old school state of Kentucky with the wildcat in the middle too.

I may or may not know someone who hung up copies of that wildcat (circa 68 I think) and power Ks all over campus when UK released it's new draconian graphics standards that attempt to erase all UK branding and logo history from the record...
