I've never doubted that Nike probably had their own shady AAU stuff going on. But it looks like that potential scandal is now officially on the backburner.

While we are at it, can we get our Uranium back or maybe the Billions of dollars giving to Iran while they burn the American flag in the streets, i know many veterans and hard working no so fortunate Amerian families who could use that money.......Last edited by J.Jennings; 03-25-2019, 03:03 PM.Comment

So much for lawyer client privacy, make sure we all take a tape recorder with us everytime we have to hire a lawyer moving foward....

I imagine it's going to be much harder to bring down Nike.
I think they've always just played a different game than everybody else. You had Sonny Vacarro out there admitting it was dirty and nothing was done.
Going after Nike would probably be like going after Apple. Remember that whole thing about Apple's factories in China? Me neither. The behemoths of American industry tend to be virtually untouchable.Comment

As long as Phil Knight is revered in one of the most popular college football programs, Nike is untouchable.Comment

I'm sure they had a whole team working on this situation before they took it to the feds.

I remember Apple's factories in China and Nike's in the Mariana Islands, but you are right that most people don't know or don't care. And that's where Avenatti overplayed his hand.Comment

It's because he tried to bring down Nike and create a college basketball scandal.Comment

The dummy tried to extort Nike - one of the richest companies on earth - and then they called him back and recorded him discussing his plans.

Just as a general rule, don't discuss your crimes when your counterpart has time to prepare for your conversations.Comment
