Looks like Houston vs KENTUCKY Friday nightcap game. Midnight or later end time.

Gonna be TOUGH man! Houston plays good defense and multiple guys can go off the dribble and hunt for their shot. Corey Davis is a D2 transfer to Houston and can light it up if you let him. He has a quick release. These guys have been on a mission since getting beat on a last second shot by Michigan last year in the tourney. Their frontcourt guys are small but they can move really well. We will have our hands full.

ESPN has reseeded the Sweet 16. They have Kentucky at 11 (assuming we're without PJ) and Duke at... you guessed it... 1. Massive, massive eye roll.

The good news is that Houston is a much more traditional team than Wofford.

The bad is that they have way more athleticism and speed all over the court.

Houston reminds me a little of an SEC team. A souped-up version of Alabama maybe. No traditional big man but four or five springy athletes down low and two really good guards who can get in the paint on a whim.

Really need all hands on deck to win this game. And as much as that, we need our guys to be at a higher level than they've been recently. Travis and a healthy Washington could be problems for Houston, but if we only have Travis it's hard to believe we'll be able to hold the line. They have too many dudes.

My son's play youth basketball. Even at 4th grade and 6th grade level this DOES NOT happen. Unless you're Duke.

I don't think they counted that as a shot. IIRC it the player was fouled bringing in a rebound not shooting. I could be wrong though.

If you watch the video on that tweet, he was going up for the shot after getting the rebound. And ref signaled two shots.

Meaning what? If you look back a few posts, I mentioned I was at Church and didn't see the game. I plan to watch replays and if necessary, I'll comment. And if you know anything about me, it will be my honest assessment. I have no doubt something was missed because enough knowledgeable folks have said so.

It seems officials let things go in the last minute of games. Whether that's intentional, directed or just part of the intensity of the moment I couldn't say. I know at the close of the Cats game I was expecting a whistle any second....thankfully didn't happen.
