I don't read too much into Kentucky playing this well without Reid Travis. Think it was more our opponent.
BUT I do think Kentucky pretty much not using the center in the offense helped them. I've noticed all year that when we try to work the ball to Travis it doesn't work. Travis should be only a passer and a scorer off other people's passes in the sets. I think you can go back to all these second-half lulls recently and trace them to Reid Travis getting the ball on most of the possessions.
Today Washington and EJ played great but we really weren't looking for them in the halfcourt.
Tennessee and LSU finish is one of the wildest you'll ever see.
Grant Williams is arguably the biggest flopper in the modern history of the game and it just may have gotten Tennessee an L.
It's unreal and completely bush league. He seeks out contact then flops to draw fouls. I'd clock him and not think twice about it if I were playing against him.

We play like Villanova without Reid.
If you remember, Reid didn't really play all that well in the Bahamas and we went long stretches without him, played a faster pace, and just shot open shots.

I think this is an excellent observation. Auburn doesn't play an inside game, relying very heavily on outside shooting. If its on, theyre a mighty dangerous team. If they go through cold spots, they have little to help them out.
I think Travis is essential to any type of successful post season run. Im not sold on the idea UK can beat Tennessee OR LSU without Travis in the game.
A Huge Thanks to you all for the prayers and well wishes. We are both doing much better now. Something the ER Dr told us when he was giving Phyllis a shot of a coagulant. He said A-Fib can cause blood clots afterwards, that can cause a stroke, so I'm watching her close.
Kentucky still has some hard road ahead. At UT is gonna be a war....and now that theyve lost their lead in the SEC, we may find the hardest game of the year right ahead.
I'm still concerned with Travis future....knees (and sprains) can be tricky, aggravating and frustrating. So can the very act of changing the team dynamics with getting used to Montgomery and Richards in the rotation more....then putting the big guy back in.
All what coaches get paid for.
Turned out to be a fun team to watch after all.

LIghthouse. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. Hope you all have a calm, relaxing, rested and healing Saturday night and Sunday.
Wow, I do not remember a guard having 17 rebounds. Well only last week we had one with 13. It is like we have really started crashing the boards from the 2 and 3 over the past 2 weeks. Proud of how this team has come together. They have a ton of fight and spirit. Will be an interesting week. Hope we take care of business with Arkansas before heading to Rocky Top.

Well, we know one thing about that UT game: Grant Williams is gonna flop.
That guy is frigging awful and PJ Washington has to win SEC POY over him. Complete punk.
