"I'll Kill You!": An Oral History of the Calipari/Chaney Feud

Interesting piece about one of the more infamous nights of Cal's career.

    Very interesting...

What I found most amusing is the idea that John Chaney / Temple was a basketball power to be reckoned with. LOL! I mean they had some good teams, but I remember those days and I always thought they were a joke. Oohh fearsome Temple...

I thought the funniest thing was the guy saying, "When John Calipari took the job at UMASS, they were a lacrosse school."

Also it's highly interesting how the officials claim that Cal never talked to them. The only reason Chaney was mad is because an assistant told him Cal had tried to discuss something with the refs.

Chaney sort of sounds like an a-hole but that's true of a lot of respected coaches.

Truly, I always thought he was a jerk.

Apparently, Cal and Cheney are friendly now. Water under the bridge and all that.

It would be hard to be friends with someone who said they wanted to kill me. Just saying.

Is Cheney still coaching--retired or deceased??????????????? The scowl he wore on his face constantly made him look like a very unpleasant person !!!!!!!
