I don't think it's a huge deal...but Bilas seemed to suggest at one point that Calipari's daughter was too dumb to read the article. That's pretty shocking (for him).

He was responding to another guy who was responding to Megan Calipari, so it tagged her on Jay's offensive tweet.

In any event, it was a bad look. There is a national perception about Cal and about Kentucky fans in general, and Jay didn't do anybody any favors with his reply (or his response to his reply).

What's the difference between a tweet and actually saying something?

If you tweet it, it's your thoughts. If something is outrageous enough then I don't see why people wouldn't get up in arms about it. Bilas didn't say this at me so my anger is pretty low in the scope of things, but he did insult a bunch of UK fans. And then he doubled down.

There's no difference in that than if he got on ESPN and said the same things IMO.

Yes it is but this is one that I don't hate. I think when someone thinks about social media in general, it's Twitter and Facebook that gets the attention not a small sports message board.
