When do the AP rankings come out?

Last week was a great week for Kentucky basketball, destroyed Vandy on the road and overcame a horrible first 27 minutes to pull out a tough win on the road, things are looking good for this team...

Kentucky is indeed #5 in the new AP poll.

Also sixth in the NET.

What you have to hope doesn't happen is a team like Duke to just become so dominant that they rip through the ACC and are basically unstoppable by March. Right now their shooting makes them beatable but if they were to find a couple of guys who hit shots consistently, you can't beat Duke.

So it's odd: I want the 1 seed, but I also want Duke to take a couple of L's even if it means Virginia splitting the ACC with them and still being in contention for a 1 themselves.

Of course Kentucky controls its own destiny there because if we oust Tennessee then we'll get a 1. But Tennessee is so good that we could play well against them and still lose all three games (assuming we meet in the SEC Tournament title game). They kind of remind me of Florida in 2014, when Kentucky couldn't beat them once but went to the title game anyway.
