Good to hear what a nice guy Jimmy is. I've never disliked him. Just think its a little goofy how he'll adopt a saying and harp on it an entire season. From skip passes to toeing the nail he'll wear it out and the next season it's gone. But he's knowledgeable and does a solid job. I appreciate he still seems to value his UK ties.

Well last night at Trinity was exciting to say the least. I finally met Will Lavender and saw his son play. John has some talent and is built like a power forward. Two other special things happened at the game. First, I met Will's beautiful wife and mother-in-law. Special folks. Second, I was there to evaluate the officials and I was more critical of them than Will. I wish Will had been able to go into the officials room to hear my critique, but they had to leave to see about their daughter. We will meet again down the road.

As usual Will's G,B & U piece is right on target. I imagine you guys were as surprised as I was at how easy the win was, but if we can come close to duplicating that performance, we will be a contender for # 9.

I usually go to the locker room after the game, and if they ask me what I thought, i give them my report there. Then I fill out an online report that goes to the official and the assigning secretary.

I invited Will to go with me, but his daughter was home sick and they had to leave right after the game.

There's not much I would love more than Lighthouse doing a Good, Bad, Ugly thread on Will watching his son's basketball game. I wonder which one yelling "Put in mah boy" while spitting remnents of popcorn and spilling his peanuts while trying to pour them in his bottle of Pepsi he smuggled in would fall under?

Lighthouse is a heck of a fella. Only met him two or three times but felt like I knew him forever. An easy going, good hearted man.
