We've got a couple of stars. We just don't have anybody who has bought in defensively outside of Hagans.

If you can't guard you can't play consistent basketball at this level.

This team does not have any stars. They have a couple really good players but there are no stars on this team. There is no one in this team that is in the top 15-20 of college players this year.

They don't have a Zion Williamson but they definitely have stars. Keldon Johnson is going to go in the lottery.

I actually think Tyler Herro is a star. That kid plays on every team Cal has had.

        Hagans is becoming one.

That isn't the problem. They won't guard. You wonder if , mainly because of our undersized forwards, if we're going to be able to guard.

Every problem this team has, and I mean every problem, can be traced back to our defense.

So true. And it looks like this will continue to be a team driven bunch, or they will lose.

I don’t care about where they go in the NBA Draft. That doesn’t mean they are a star in college.

None of these guys are star college players currently.

I also don't think this team plays super hard and that's always a problem in the game of basketball.

You can count on Hagans, Herro, and Johnson bringing it.

Washington's motor goes about 50% of the time. Travis is similar. You can't play the sport like that. It'll hurt you every time, and where it comes out is almost always defensively.

                We'll just have to disagree.

They aren't polished college players yet, sure, although when Travis is going right he's close. But neither was James Young or Aaron Harrison or Andrew Harrison. And those guys played on a team that played for a title.

That's who this team reminds me of. That team wouldn't guard until late February.

If anyone bet on that game they're probably throwing up about now.

Johnson has been terrible two games in a row.

Hagans and Herro were awesome tonight. EJ and Quickley were good.

                    Everyone else was total blah

Hagans had 18 pts on 4-6 FG's and 10-11 FT's, 1 Reb, 4 assists, 1 foul and 1 TO. A good nights work for this Freshman.

                        He's turned into a monster.

But we've had some other guys step back. Washington and Travis can't keep playing like this. You almost can't throw the ball into either of them right now. Washington had one little flurry tonight but this is two games in a row where Travis has looked dreadful.

I don't agree with crazzed's point about stars but this is clearly a team where if you have just one starter lay an egg then you're liable to get beat. They all have to play for us to be a legitimate top 10 team. After Louisville we haven't looked like a top 25 team and that's concerning.

That may have been the worst beat in the history of basketball.

It is all my fault. I could not find anything to watch tonight so I turned on the game. This is the only game I have watched the entire game. I have only seen plays or highlights except the 1st half of the Duke game (actually 10 minute mark in first half) and the last 5 minutes of Alabama and some live action (maybe 3 to 4 minutes total) of the Louisville game.

I decided to watch knowing my Ataxia would flare up and sure enough with this team it did not take long. I am still having issues. Has taken about 10 minutes to type this short message. I just cannot stand to watch this team. They are not fun at all to watch. It is like going to the Dentist and having a tooth extracted through your butt.

I think now I will wait to Feb 1 to see what they look like. I will continue to come here at KSR to get updates.

Disappointing performance. TAMU is a bad team and we should have been hungry coming off that loss. But this is a strange team.

When we run....we're pretty good. When we go into the Calipari grind, we suck. We lack good, consistent shooters and our post players are off and on. Why Cal doesn't press and force tempo is maddening to me. I literally despise his offense. Yeah...I know...he wins games with it.

But this group needs to be energized to play great. They do that when they decide to defend or when they push without Cal screaming Gooooooooo like a madman. TAMU dresses 8 players. Press them and beat them down. I just don't get it. Never will.

Also got outrebounded for the second game in a row. Need to clean that up.

Great FT shooting. I'm loving that.

But we needed a win badly.
