People keep saying this but where are all these people saying cal should be fired/leave? I follow UK on message boards, facebook, twitter, etc...and I can point to less than a handful of times I have seen someone actually say Cal should leave.

I don't get where this notion comes from that a bunch of UK fans want Cal gone.

There were a few people who thought that perhaps Cal's prime years were behind him. I'm one of them and I still am. I love him as a coach, I think he has been great at UK, but I don't know if we're getting back to that 2010-2015 stretch anytime soon. Next year could be really bad if recruiting doesn't pick up.

I agree with this. I think Cal's best years at UK are behind him. I also think that's why it's even harder to stomach missing out on another 1 or 2 titles when we had the chance.

However, a lot of people thought the game had passed K and Roy by as well and then they came out and each won more titles. Maybe Cal can get back to that level again. I don't think there is any chance this year's team is a title contender and neither is next year's most likely. So, we are looking at a couple more seasons, IMO, at least until UK is a legit title contending team again.

Coach K had a few rough years but he has managed to win 2 since Cal has been at UK, and I think Duke is one of two or three teams to beat this year. Frustratingly, K was beating Cal at his own game.

Cal seems to have lost his 'cool' factor - whether that's Cal or whether that's just a change in attitudes in general I don't know.
