One thing to note, in addition to the game, is that Cal has taken two opportunities to poke the fanbase after this win. Both in the post-game presser and in a call-in to KSR.
I would imagine Cal didn't know anything about the shoes, or he wouldn't have allowed them. From the officials point of view, that's good preventive officiating.

Sort of telling imo.
Good. Our fanbase is the best, but it's also full of whiny turds.

Agreed. When fans attack his family online they deserve every shot he can take. He knows what he's doing more than any of us working regular jobs. We have a small percentage of flat out idiots that really stick out like a sorry thumb.

But, in all fairness, every team in every sport has them.

I'm actually impressed the officials noticed them. The L down was pretty small on the tongue. But, I agree. Good on the officials.

This is a new phenomenon for UK basketball coaches. I think they handle it exceedingly well, all things considered. I would think it's especially insulting in light of what they have done for the community here.
As far as Cal lashing out to the disgruntled fans....I think it's pretty stupid. Just coach the team and ignore the noise like he preaches to his own players all the time.
Spent time talking about how he doesn't get involved in social media by smacking on some talk in social media. Seems silly.
Big fanbases have all kinds. He even claimed it was a small percentage chirping. So ignore the others.
And fans have every right to be critical as well as praise. But they have no right to address his family. Those mouth breathers need to be ignored and not draw attention to them, imo.
Shut up and sing. Better yet, stay positive on days like this.
