    Yes. That was good.

But Cal's "crusade" to get Pitino back up here doesn't sit well with me but that's for another thread.

I'm kind of torn about it honestly.

I wouldn't be outraged or anything but I do think it's interesting for so many reasons. Can't see Pitino ever agreeing to do it to be honest.

Imagine pitina will get a lukewarm reception at best.

No telling what's in Pitino's mind at this point. He may be more willing to be honored by UK than by UL with the way that gig turned out. At least the championship banner still hangs at Rupp unlike Yum.

            Welp....

Pitino is dead to me. I have this problem with amoral characters who cheat and never become self aware and always play the victim. Don't really care if he coached here or not. Doesn't change what he is. And flipping off the fans was a nice touch too Rick.

And if Cal continues to push this narrative, he'll be on life support with me as well. But thats just me.

The last time Rick Pitino walked out of Rupp Arena, he flipped us all off.

I'll pass on his return, thanks.

I have no desire to see his name hang anywhere near Lexington either. Didn't intend to sound like a fan of his. Just that the UL bridge may have burned harder than the UK one in HIS mind.

I have no desire for him to ever come to Rupp Arena ever again...I can't stand him...I wish I did not feel this way but I do

Ah, I’d forgotten about that. Yeah I’m done with him.

Didn't get to watch but Listened to Tom. Defense definitely picked up a notch. Good ball movement on offense lead to a good number of 3's. We took a step in the right direction.

Agree! That "Flip Off" sealed it. He's dead to me and many others.

I will always be a Pitino the coach fan but no so much Pitino the player fan. Hell if Cal wants to praise Rick, then hire him to teach the offenes and defense, wouldn't hurt my feelings at all...

As for Rick coming back to Kentucky to be honored, i really don't have a problem with it all, that ship has sailed. I also don't believe Rick was actively involved with all the payoffs and everything that was going on at Louisville, i think Jurich had more to do with that in my opinion. Rick wasn't a great role model at Louisville but even with the stripper stuff, no coach can police these kids 24/7 to make sure they stay out of trouble..

Anyways, the 96 team was the best UK team ever in my opinion and will never forget that............

Pitino isn't a better offensive coach than Cal. I know many UofL fans who couldn't stand Pitino's offense and/or were confused about what it was his teams were trying to do. Even when he was at Kentucky I remember the grumbling about our poor halfcourt sets.

He's the best defensive coach that ever lived.

Well the good news is his defense creates alot of offense but yeah i do agree with you about his offense. Pitino always seemed to keep a string on a great scorer, Jodie Meeks would have never scored 50 plus points under Pitino or Tubby for that matter....

First, I hope Pitino never walks into Rupp again for any reason. Second, I somewhat disagree with Will. Pitino was a much better offensive coach at UL than he ever was at Kentucky. In my opinion.
