To win a game and get really nothing from 3 starters is a good sign. Quade, Quickley, Richards and Montgomery all came up big tonight.

I think Cal should hire the Head Coach at SIU. It would probably be a pay raise and he can teach the offense.

Quickley showed us why Cal recruited him tonight , played much better. Hagans needs to be playing his senior year of high school ball where he should be. He has skills but doesn’t appear ready to play at this level, mentally or physically. Hero had another poor shooting night. We are a better outside shooting team than last year but not by much so far. EJ also showed some flashes tonight, since he was slowed by an injury early in practice I get the feeling he might end up the year as good as anyone we have

It was a win. That part was good. They needed that. They actually showed some fight when they got down 7 in the 2nd half. Quickley,Montgomery and even Richards looked good. Others not so good. Hagans looks lost. He should have stayed in high school. I think he might be overwhelmed and just not ready for college. Its going to be a long slow process to get to where they want to be. They are going to take quite a few L's too. Just be prepared for this year to be a whole like last year.

I was at the game.....not a great crowd..rough first half but I saw some good things in the 2nd half..And WOW to Nick for those 19 rebounds

^^^With Reid being a bright spot against Duke and Nick's play last night it looks like EJ could be earning PJ's minutes. He's been a no show through 2 games.

I agree but hope PJ gets his act together, because if his continues like this, he's costing himself a lot of money.

No doubt. And like Briscoe--if you don't get it done in 2 years here it's probably not going to happen. No one is holding him back but himself. Still very early in the season but puzzling nonetheless.

He will get it together. Too good of a player for this to go on. And losing money is the least of my concern. I want him to fix it because it makes this team much better.
