I have to put Mel Turpin at 3. because I vaguely remember him.

1. and 2. are really hard to argue with.

Also, I liked Hayes better than Patterson. Hayes is one of the three or four best defenders I've ever seen at UK.

Turpin was a center. He could go out on the floor and shoot the jumper very well. But Joe B played him as center.

He did play Center some at UK, but his So. year Barger played Center, and later on Art Laib got that job. When they weren't in, it was Issel.

If these guys are all considered PF this would be my list as well. Issel and Mashburn need no explanation. And Bowie even with the injuries was incredible. Without the injury problems he could very well be thought of as the best ever to play at UK.
