The officials are an issue, but in all fairness we are playing lazy feet defense and reaching way to much.

Shows called the foul and looked away for some reason and a pass was made and Shows lost the shooter. The other 2 weren't paying attention. That crew just might be done for the tournament.

It's been a busy thread so I'm sure you didn't see it to answer. What are the requirements to officiate the tournament? Certain conferences? A number of games? Years of experience? Does the same crew stick together?

Fouls are a MAJOR issue. Could be the difference.

I say we at least hold out Knox till the 15:00 mark. And if somehow we keep this lead I’d hold him out even longer. PJ can score at will on this team so he needs to play smart and not foul, that’s gonna be a big deal to finish this game.

All NCAA officials are eligible. Usually the Conference supervisor submits the names of their top several officials. In the beginning of the tournament, most games will have a crew of officials who probably haven't worked together all year. As it moves along, the more experienced officials move along, as well as those who have graded out the best. I would say the crew working our game today have never worked together, which is one reason they're struggling.

Buffalo is 5 of 17 from the 3 point line. Massinburg and Clark are the only two that have make they shoots. We have to guard those two guys.

The NCAA put out a statement on it this morning. It could have been reviewed but apparently none of the Charleston players or coaches caught it either.

Now, go easy on John, he was a friend and a very good and fair official. But, like Greene, and others before him, I can see why UK fans didn't like him, but the Coaches sure did.
