I hope Mo Bamba is regretting his decision.

Doubtful, as he is about to become a multi millionaire.

What is it with Shaka Smart stealing our big guys? They also have Jericho Sims. I believe we were in on him and Jarett Allen last year who now plays for Brooklyn.

        Completely agree.

If you’re good enough to go pro without the support of a program like UK, then I really don’t blame you at all for choosing Texas. Awesome school in an awesome city.

I was only able to watch this in bits and pieces in the first half and dis see most of it in the 2nd half.

UK showed a lot of poise in this one. Every time they would sprint out to a good lead, Buffalo would come stampeding back to cut it to four or five. UK never caved in and kept their own pressure on.

Diallo was great. This was his break out game if there ever was one. He has been playing better lately. He is letting the game come to him and not forcing things. One rebound he got I swear his hands were above the square. That dunk at the end was other wordly too. Very Dominique Wilkins like. If he shows up like this the rest of the way UK is going to be very hard to beat.

SGA was great again. Under control and very smooth. He has turned into one of the best pg's Cal has had. I still think he may be the smartest one yet.

Gabriel gave them a lot of good hustle plays and he really hit the boards too. He has become a fairly consistent player now and that's huge for this team.

The officials were at best suspect. Seemed to be a lot of chincy calls. Unless they feel a fight is about to break out then just swallow the whistle. It took away from what could have been an even more exciting game.

UK still has the chance of playing all double digit seeds in the region. Just need UMBC to win tonight and Loyola Thursday night. I don't feel bad about that at all. Its about time UK got some breaks with the seeds.

Right now the only two teams I can see UK having a really hard time to beat would be Villanova and Duke. Both of those teams present a lot of match up problems for anyone.
            Kentucky fan since 1971.

Michigan State would probably beat our brains in, too. Still, I'm liking our chances more and more by the day. The Final Four, at least, is within reach.

I think Duke will pound Michigan St. The good thing is that both of those teams plus Nova are on the opposite side. Will only have to beat one of them.

Duke gets no free pass with Kansas. Their guard play is experienced and impressive.

One thing I haven't seen mentioned about Diallo's windmill was that he did it left handed.

The only thing I worry about with JV possibly playing next weekend is he takes minutes from Gabriel, which hurts us offensively I think. But man his hustle is off the charts. His minutes should come at the 5 for Richards and Jones

JV gives huge effort plus five fouls. It looked like for a minute yesterday the whole front line would be out.

We beat a good but not great team yesterday. Their speed and quickness bothered us some, but didn't disrupt us to much. What they didn't have we took advantage of.

That assumes Gabriel will maintain yesterday's level of play. He hasn't exactly been Mr. Consistency this season, so it's always nice to have other options if the need arises.

It also assumes that the two can't play together. I see no reason why a Gabriel/Washington/Vanderbilt/SKJ rotation wouldn't work in our favor.

And I think you're right on. That rotation would cause problems for anybody we play.

The Michigan State that lost to Michigan and struggled mightily with Bucknell? It would be a fantastic game, but I'm not scared of them.

There are exactly two (2) teams that are playing as well or better than Kentucky right now in this tournament, and they're both on the opposite side of the bracket: Duke and Villanova. Kansas is right under them, and we'll have to see how Carolina looks today before I'm willing to lump them in there.
