    OT...Louisville keeps giving

Unbelievably (to me) a group of Louisville fans actually are attempting to hire an attorney to sue for return of the NCAA Tournament Championship banner.

    Almost like Christmas.

Saw that on KSR. Now, if only it can be replaced with an NIT banner!

Louisville hanging a banner that means we are 69 would be......

I just want a participation banner. #69 would be too kind if you ask me. They lose Sunday to an MTSU team that is PISSED they didn't get in the Big Dance.

And the UL players wanted to pack it in when they didn't get a bid.

If UL wins the NIT...who vacates it? The NCAA when it's not their tournament? The NIT infractions committee?

I thought the NIT was under the NCAA now, but my memory is fading fast.

Yeah I'm just being a smart--. The schools are all NCAA member institutions and subject to their rules whomever is overseeing the tourney.

NCAA did take over the NIT a few years back. It is under their control. Before that I think it was some private organization that ran it. MSG?

                              Showing my age:
the NCAA used to have auto bids for only conference champions. THE ACC petitioned that their tournament champ received the bid...Maryland at least twice won the regular season and was shut out.
So the NIT was the tourney that saw some pretty good ball teams....and often the next year those teams made big noise.
The NCAA tourney expansion drove the NIT to irrelevance.
