I could kind of understand if the referee hadn't been violently pointing at the ground right before handing him the ball. It was pretty clear he wasn't supposed to move.

Apparently, there's a big portion of their fanbase that is all about keeping vestiges of the past.

Fortunately for U of L, those people aren't in power though.

As strange as it sounds, my heart goes out for the kids. Louisville has its share of internet jerks.....maybe for the size of its fan base, far more than its share. I had a ton of respect for David Padgent as a player, and thought he could grow into a solid coach. There are an abundance of Louisville fans that post that they 'deserve' a coach the level of a Donovan in his prime or whoever the top names are, and David Padgent drew the straw of falling in a manure pit of a situation.
For the Louisville kids and coaches that had their heart handed to them in .9 seconds, I been there. (Usually football).
For the fan base that still wallow in the Jurich/Pitino 'glory day' swill....
          HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

UL will definitely be able to hire big, imo. It's a top job with great facilities and they pay big. The only downside is rebuilding and there are some out there that would relish the chance for that.

I've always thought Donovan would be the heir to that throne but since Pitino ruined that I now believe Chris Mack will be next. In fact, I would be shocked if it were anyone else to be honest.

But that place needs to get an AD and a real President before worrying about basketball. Postel is a joke and they are $45mil in debt.

Mack would be crazy to leave Xavier for that. This is going to be a pretty significant rebuild in traditionally the toughest conference in America.

Not sure if Padgett is the guy but they aren't getting a name in that position right now IMO. It's going to be a vicious slog. You're talking about a program that essentially does not have a recruiting class for next season, and the NCAA hasn't even begun to get into the Adidas stuff. Plus you're coming into a university that's completely under interim leadership.

They might as well hunker down and take their losses because they're on the way.

What ALL schools will be sweating are what names finally come out in the current investigation. Just for example, Xavier IS a team listed as having 'agent issues''........ so the Cards hire Mack and whoooooopsie.....here we go.

To be honest though, I was one who was mighty leery of the Calipari hire (apparently, so was Lee Told, because he has more than once stated he nixed the idea of Calipari, not the off repeated rumors of Mitch Barnhart refusing him)..
the Cal hire has worked well enough so far.

I don't think they will be paying "big" for a while since that hoghead demon, Jurich is gone, and Ramsey too. Ramsey gave Jurich the keys to the kingdom and said I don't care what you do as long as you don't implicate me and dont mention me and my wife and our underhanded dealings and embezzlement from the foundation. There is not a lot of money to be paying a coach right now I wouldn't think. Not like they were paying Pitino anyway.

At this point I don't think it's a stretch to say UL may not even have a program after the NCAA gets finished with them. The NCAA came down on them like a ton of bricks for whore-gate. No mistaking that. Now UL gets busted by the FBI, of all people, for paying Bowen lots of money, while on probation for whore-gate. We still don't have the complete picture of the national scene, including UK, but UL is in desperate straits at this point. JMO.

The Sportscenter guy last night said it best. To win a basketball game you have to be really smart. Or hope your opponent is really dumb. LOL!!!

Yet Bowen is enrolled at USC. How may here thinks he will play college ball?

So SC takes him dirty laundry and all not knowing if he will play or not? I was stunned he got to go anywhere until the investigation is done.

You make a good point, but personally I doubt he will be in the conversation for the HC job. I believe he will make a good coach someday, but he needs to get away from UL and get his experience somewhere else.

I didn't see what happened, but I have a question. If I understand correctly, UL had a 5 point lead when they committed a dumb foul. I assume Va shot and hit 2 ft's reducing the lead to 3. Before I ask my other question, how did a 3 beat them? My other question, if both FT's were good, why was there a spot throw-in? UL should have been able to run the baseline after a good basket.
