I watched it all and still can't believe it. Virginia scored 5 points in 2 seconds. UL controlled the entire game until the last 3 minutes. Gave up a 12 point lead. Bad shots, bad fouls, bad turnovers and really bad coaching late.

    Complete collapse.

It almost made me feel sorry for them. Almost.

Correction: It was .9 seconds left. Less than one full second. Virginia scored five in less than a second. I believe that's 12000 ppg.

Where can I watch this debacle? It sounds too good to be true.

I feel sorry for coach Padgett. I'm sure he'd like to do well enough to be handed the reins on a permanent basis, and stuff like this isn't going to help any.

This was unlike anything I have ever watched. Pretty much a perfectly orchestrated comedy of errors. Why in the world with a 4 point lead and a second on the clock you would take any type of risk of fouling. Give up the shot and go home with a win.

Unfortunately I had to watch also ( only because I was waiting on the show after the game to come on )...could not believe it......explain to me how a junior does not know that you can't move on the inbounds pass

I didn't watch the game, so I don't know, but if coach Padgett didn't do so he should have called a timeout to make sure everyone knew what to do. People, athletes or not, tend to get rattled in pressure situations. The Cards probably didn't expect to be in that position, and it may have shook them up somewhat.

Could have been one of the toughest losses in Louisville history, all things considered.

Chance to beat the #1 team. NCAA Tournament likely on the line. The last decent season you're going to have in the next half-decade. Signature win for an interim coach. Total domination for almost 37 minutes. Epic collapse in the last .9.

I've never seen anything like it.

David Padgett was never going to be considered for the full-time position, anyway.

They may not have any choice but to retain him or hire someone similar. I'd say it's going to be next to impossible to get a decent, experienced coach to take on that mess.

Methinks you underestimate the ego of some of these college coaches. There's a schmuck out there who thinks he can tackle the job. Plus, they'll probably throw the bank at whoever it is.

They're definitely not going to get anything close to a "top tier" guy, but even so, they will at least hire somebody with some head coaching experience.

I don't imagine U of L will want to keep any vestiges of the past after this season.
