One play, the Bama guard was low in the block, faked to his left and Diallo moved to cut him off, but the kid went to his right for the easiest basket scored all night, and Diallo stood there flat footed.
His lack of lateral mobility kills him on offense and defense. What fixes that? Calisthenics? Coaching? I don't know, but it's gotta get better. His shot surely will eventually improve somewhat--it doesn't look funky--like Jarred's. Of course eventually doesn't mean while he's at UK.

Effort fixes a lot of that. It's hard to be quick laterally when you stand there flat footed.

There are plenty of crticisms to be made about Diallo but effort is NOT one of them. That guy worked his butt off yesterday.

Must needed win obviously. I only saw the first half as I had to go out for the rest of the evening. They did look more engaged in that first half. Crowd was very good. I was a little surprised by that. I thought it would be really laid back because of the 4 game losing streak.
UK needs in their two homes games and they should be in the NCAA's. Lose either one of those and it becomes very iffy. This year the goal is just to make it. Once you get there anything can happen. No dominant teams at all this year and it wouldn't surprise me if a ten+ loss teams wins it.

Quade played his best game as a Cat yesterday.

There were stretches of that game where I thought he just locked Collin Sexton up. Not easy to do.

Green needs the ball in his hands more on offense.

Key word: Yesterday. How many times have we seen him stand there and look lost on defense this season?

Huge difference between being lost and giving effort. How many guys on these team haven't spent a lot of the year looking lost on defense?

Hami has certainly been a disappointment but I have never thought he wasn't trying. In fact a lot of the time I think he tries too hard and thinks too much rather than just doing what comes naturally.

                  Definitely. He was outstanding.

And I agree he needs the ball.

Getting the ball to the right guy in the right place is key. Perfect example is with PJ yesterday. When he gets the ball on the block he is really good. But when he gets it on the wing or top of the key not so much.

For everything Shai has done this year he is still not a point guard.
