Play SGA, Vanderbilt, Gabriel (I know he makes mistakes, but he gives it everything he's got) and Green either all 40 minutes or until they foul out.

I actually think he's too hard on Richards. He's an 18 year old who only has a few years of basketball experience. I think he should let him work through more of his mistakes.

I agree with you about Richards might be a decent center for us in a year or two. I would sit Diallo and Knox for at least a game and impress on them the importance of ev
ffort on EVERY play not just every other play like they do now. For God sake do we have a coach on the staff that could teach Vanderbilt to shoot

Didn’t watch a single second of the game and I am really happy about it. Read the recap and checked Twitter.

This team finds new ways to meltdown and play terrible. 60 points allowed in the second half?

as Ron Burgundy would say, “Heck, I’m not even mad. That’s amazing!”

Was it bad? It sounded real bad.

First UK game I haven't watched a second of since 1997.

Really tough run for UK. Probably as doom-and-gloom as I've seen people about the program since the end of the Gillispie era. At least in '13 you could point to Nerlens' injury.

I watched about 10 minutes of the game, altogether.

Still a team that I think is going to make make a great core group for the next couple of years, but just not going to be impactful, now.

I said it at the beginning of the season, just not pleasing to watch.

Thank goodness for Shai's emergence, or this would be a .500 team. And that's no exaggeration.

Told you all before, and likely got laughed at in private, but this is a NIT team, barring a good SEC tourney run. We, as fans, haven't been honest about something, and that is that this is a team that, quite frankly, would make the big dance an uglier product.

I tell you, perspective matters, and as a consumer, this team is so bad to watch. Literally, STILL a team that does not do a single facet of the sport well.

These kids have been failed by coaches for years. They've proceeded in life off the fact that they were tall, or maybe more athletic, and those parasite coaches have ridden that, and allowed these players to arrive with greatly diminished games that exceed the simple excuse of youth.

Kevin Knox could score, so he was allowed to be weak, and learn no defensive ethic. Hami could dunk, so he was allowed to never learn the skills of dribbling or shooting. I could go on and on.

The one guy NOT in that mold? Shai. Ranked, but never considered elite. And he arrives in college and has clearly worked the hardest to improve. He isn' just a surprise, he's a result of his own work.

i think that's the most frustrating part. We don't have anything to put the blame on that is acceptable. A lack of effort and selfish play shouldn't be reasons we are a bubble team.

It really has become pretty amazing. Crazzed, at one point last night Knox and Green were both guarding their guard, with the ball, on the baseline, about seven feet from the basket. They both left him to guard the guy on the three point line, who didn't have the ball. After they left he took another dribble and hesitated before he made the easiest layup he'll ever have in a game. Like, layup line easy. He hesitated because it was almost too good to be true that he was that wide open after being double teamed. If at this point these kids don't talk enough to say "I got him" while playing defense then Calipari should just sit down and not try anymore because he's wasting his time.

It's gotten to the point Cal should pick next game and not coach. Like, sit on the bench, don't yell, don't call plays, and just let the kids do what they want and what they think is best. That would (hopefully) force someone on the team to be a leader and they would get beat by 70. Maybe then they would realize they should listen to him. I know that'll never happen, but I wish it could.

First half was OK enough. UK actually lead at the half. But they were lucky that A&M missed open shots. They didn't miss them in the 2nd half and UK got run out of the gym. Final margin should have been about 25. A&M let up the last five minutes and nearly let UK back in it.
With the effort this UK gives on defense it tells me they have thrown in the towel for the season. They just don't care and are ready to move on. Maybe not everyone but enough to destroy the team. Just pitiful and more whippings like this will be in store too. Auburn won't let up and will likely win by 30 or more. At this point I'm not sure who UK can beat?

I'm having those same thoughts. In our recent "predict our last eight games thread," 3-5 actually felt optimistic.

We as Kentucky Basketball Fans are having a very hard time with this team because we know the game and how it should be played, and this team just isn't doing what it takes to win. IMO, IF our kids had just hustled on both ends of the court last night, they would have won by 10-15. This team has more talent than their record indicates, but they never show the one thing that separated the two teams last night, hustle and the desire to win. I'm certainly not a Dactich fan, but last night he was spot on and told the horrible truth about our team. For is=nstance, Knox knows how to sprint the floor when he's about to get the ball for a dunk, but not so when trailing an opponent driving to score. And it goes on and on.

Same here. Went to paint owls at a local paint spot. I wasn't even mad I missed the game. When we were fixin' to leave I checked the score and we were down 14. She was SHOCKED I took her out on a night the Cats play. What does this mean? What does say about me as a fan? I LOVE my Cats, but these guys are just so boring to watch. We have had two impressive games this season. The model is TIRED and PLAYED OUT and I am not the only one saying this. The silver lining is that next year we should be decent.
I need a hero! I'm holding out for a hero till the end of the night! He's gotta be strong and he's gotta be fast and he's gotta be fresh from the fight!
