I feel the same about Wenyen.

Wenyen is so raw and unpolished. But there's something there with him. A sort of special mentality that you can see on his face even when the game isn't going well.

You can't be a truly special player if you don't have an elite level of skill. Not unless you get really fortunate. Wenyen lacks that skill...but if you think about him down the road I think we've got a player who could be somebody we remember for a long time. He has the same "it" that I saw in Jeff Sheppard and Scott Padgett and Jamaal Magloire and Chuck Hayes and some of those guys. Guys who were very good but who needed to grow and mature in the program.

You just hope Wenyen doesn't make a bad decision and try to leave.

WVU has lost 5 of 6. We need them and Louisville to continue to win because, do we have a quality win this year?

Watched Louisville play Virginia last night. I thought they looked better than Duke when they played Virginia.

I'd consider that a quality win considering how we dismantled them.

West Virginia is in shambles. The fact that it was on the road will count, but if they just implode then that win won't register hardly at all. Their defense right now is horrendous. They gave up 90+ to a team that Tennessee just smashed.

Virginia Tech has made some noise the last couple of weeks. Decent win.

Vermont is probably an NCAA Tournament team. That's probably it. But the good news for Kentucky is that we've got some games coming up that could really help us. That's starting next week in Rupp against Tennessee. Auburn is still out there. Alabama at home would be a quality win. Florida on the road.

The toughest run of our season is yet to come.

Let's not discount this weekends game against Missouri. It's at their place and they are at least a decent to a good team.

I think they are pretty good. They have the same record as Alabama at 14-8. They won at Alabama last night. This won't be an easy game at all. Actually none of the games left will be easy. The only one that may be is Ole Miss. So plenty of opportunities for UK to get quite a few quality wins.
            Kentucky fan since 1971.
