There is ABSOLUTELY no question in my mind (as feeble as it is) that Vanderbilt will be back next year. He's at least 2 years away from developing an acceptable NBA offensive skill set.

Lol....there's no question in my mind they ALL need to come back next year.
problem is in some of their minds I'm pretty sure they already thought they were ready for the big lights....
      And big money.

        He should prove it.

I'm half-joking, of course. Not ragging on the kid. I've been very impressed by him, thus far. But he doesn't shoot; he shoves. No touch whatsoever - not even from two feet.

Another good was the way the players not in the game were really into it cheering, jumping around and etc.

Unless he doesn't want to risk getting injured yet again, and wants to get paid while the getting's good.

Doubt this is true. If this were the case he wouldn't attack rebounds like he does.

I think he's just playing the game too fast, and because he's only played three games he doesn't seem sure about where his shots need to come from. He posted up the other night about twelve feet from where he's supposed to be set up. That manic intensity helps him on the glass and hurts him when he needs a more controlled patience.

Brian Evans‏ @KSRBEvans 1h1 hour agoJarred Vanderbilt rebounding *34%* of UK's misses when he's in the game. Doesn't have enough minutes to qualify, but if he did he'd be the nation's leader in Offensive Rebound Rate by a wide margin.

I watched the game and left at half-time I(but I taped it) assuming we would lose but I just didn't want it to be a blow-out...I'm at a HS boys b-ball game when I receive a BR alert and without thinking I screamed-Lol! I startled the folks around me; I apologized to them trying to explain that my team came back and won the game!
I hope this motivates the fellas moving forward, have them believe ALL things are possible...this was a great confidence booster-so proud!

Cal was having SGA get it past half court and then stop so he could tell each individual player where and when to go. It almost seemed like he was making plays up on the fly.
I disagree. Cal's worst year without a capable PG was the year they Nerlens got hurt and they wound up in the NIT. They would have made the dance had Noel stayed healthy, but lack of PG play would have meant an early exit. The two PGs this year are head and shoulders above what they had that year and there are two of them.

These two yong PG need to improve by tourney time, but they are a lot more talented than Cals worst season at Kentucky.

Cal almost always calls plays in. Nothing different about that this year.

The only time I've seen him give some leeway as far as that's concerned is probably Ulis's second year. Otherwise Cal screams almost every set in from the side.

Ryan Harrow's year as starting PG was Caliparis leanest at PG. This not a Harrow year. These PGs have potential. They are not there yet, but there is a lot of season left.

Harrow's problems extended off the basketball court.

As a player he was just decent. But if he would've been mentally strong he could've overcome the gaps in his talent (more than talent his slight build was a problem).

But Harrow simply was not a gamer. Both these guys are on totally different levels as far as that goes. Like not even close.

When Quade is going bad it's usually because his lack of athleticism is holding him back. He just doesn't have good speed. But as far as the "it" factor I believe he has that. At some point in his career, maybe not this year, Quade Green will become a UK legend. There's something about him that I love. He is very limited though in certain parts of his game.

The guy has something. Can't put my finger on it. I see some Jalen Brunson style toughness in him.

Like Brunson, Green needs to stay in the program. Should be a four-year player because he'll never play in the NBA.

These are the very guys who become outstanding college players. I love Quade's disposition and face when things are going bad. He's totally unmoved. His problem is that he's at such a disadvantage athletically right now that he just cannot do the things he needs to do.

I hope we see him in his twenties. The guy will be a total killer.

I find it easy to see Quade being the next Aaron Harrison. He doesn't seem scared of anything. When it comes time for a big shot it won't surprise me in the least to see him be the guy to make it.

Thought we might get a glimpse of that in the Florida game when he missed by about a half mile. But now that he is healthy and able I can see him taking the last shot.
