Richards has only been playing for a couple of years.

The Lee comp is probably a good one but Lee didn't have Richards' body type or his shooting touch. Think Richards has a higher ceiling but we're at least a year away from seeing it.

The NBA season is long and i don't waste alot of time watching a entire game unless it's a big gam. With that being said, a pivotal or elimination game of playoff series in the NBA playoffs for most part is wonderful basketball. I also like to watch ex Cats in the NBA and see the development over the years. Rondo dishing out 20 assists , Wall on the break, Anthony David scoring over 50 in a all star game inside and out, the list goes on and on...

What will happen is a catch 20/20 but when the NCAA tournament gets here, you will have players like Richards and probably a few others step up and have the game of there life and like fools gold, gone in the draft or somewhere playing professionally. I can feel a I. Humprhies all over again....

Speaking of I. Humphries, isn't a damn shame he left and is not on this team? What about I. Briscoe, he may have had the chance to actually play point guard this year ;ike he did in high school. I would love to have had them both back but with Briscoe, rumor mill was he was flat out cancer in the locker room and hated being at Kentucky. Not sure if that was true or not but i have heard some stories about him.......

The ex UK players are the only reason I watch a bit. I actually went to a Pacers game earlier this year against New Orleans just to see Davis and Cousins play. Didn't make it to halftime and I couldn't stand anymore. Good thing was Cousins spotted my UK shirt in pregame and had me come down to chat with he and Davis for a couple minutes and take pictures.

That's cool, i take it Rondo was still injured at the time? What about D. Miller, was he playing that night?

Speaking of the Pacers, Oladipo is playing like a mad man this year. He struggled his first few years in the league finding the right situation and comfort level but since he's been back to Indiana, he's elevated his game big time..

Anyways, i am a huge Celtics fan and i enjoy watching Brad Stevens coach and the things he does to get the most out of his talent, he does a great job. I am also pretty lucky that the Cetltics stole Kyrie from the Cavs and Tatum is whole lot better than advertised or from what i saw at Duke, he is a star in the making.. Also doesn't hurt my feelings that if the Lakers continue to lose, the Celtics will get there pick this year which could lead to Ayton, Bagley, maybe even Trae Young lol lol lol lol... Things are very good in C's land these days but don't be surprised if Danny Ainge doesn't package and try to make a deal withe Pelicans for Anthony Davis, it is his number 1 target and has been for a while. He could packge Al Horford's contract and the Lakers pick for Davis and who knows, maybe go after D. Cousins in the offseason as a free agent lol...

Just UK basketball under Cal , watch wild erratic inconsistant play blended with flashes of brilliance, Pray they find a rythem before March.. Some teams have and some teams haven’t come close. IMO this team will be one that won’t. They hung tough last night and got a must win at home.

They weren't that wild and erratic last night.

Turned it over 12 times. Shot the ball at a high rate. Not sure how that's erratic (until the last 50 seconds).

Speaking of Marcus Lee. He is averaging 13 points and 8 rebounds for a really bad Cal team this season. 11 double digit scoring games and 3 20+ point scoring games.

Great analysis as usual Will. A couple comments about that last few minutes. We desperately need PJ on the court late because of his offense, but he has to be able to hit the big FT's. Richards on the other had is just the opposite. He can hit FT's, but all else is questionable. We need to work on a back court offense when we're pressed. I agree there should have been a foul called on Gabriel on that last play, and without looking at it again, I think the official saw it. Why he didn't call it, who knows. I actually may get a chance to do an officials evaluation tomorrow, so we'll see.

What stuck out the most to me was that we had really only one ball handler in Shai and only had I think 12 turnovers. A few of those 12 were unforced. That's an encouraging sign. Hopefully we get Vanderbilt some minutes before the West Virginia game. I have been fearing that game since I saw it scheduled.

Those numbers aren't going to boost him into the league anymore than the Kentucky name recognition would've.

Still not sure why he transferred with one year of eligibility left... he was never going to be anything more than a role player at any high level DI program.

Random thought but why is Texas A@M in the SEC and West Virginia in the same league with Kansas??? That's half way backwards (promised not to cuss) Is it because of the football? I was thinking of this last night while watching Texas and Tcu (yes i actually watched someone else besides Kentucky or the pro's play)

TCU gave the game away. Not sure if anyone has watched TCU but the guard Jaylen Fisher out of the state of Tennessee is a very interesting player, moves like a lightning bolt, and plays silky smoothe under control.. Ranked 34 coming out of high school and TCU most prized recruit ever, i like his game alot and the potential it has, something i will keep a eye on....

Speaking of Texas, really not that impressed with MAMBA. Big time talent but he's not changing the game or setting the world on fire on the stats sheet ...

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ A&M is much better market and A&M wanted to get away from Texas. They felt they were their step child all through their Big 12 and SWC days. When they got their chance to the SEC they jumped at it.
                              Kentucky fan since 1971.
