UK is the highest rated SEC team too at 21. Auburn is 22 and Tennessee at 24. If you had those two in your polls at the beginning of the season then you win the Internet.

Exactly what I said. I think it’s pretty crazy that in nearly 75 years of rankings and UK being ranked in the top 25 for hundreds of weeks that this is the first time they have ever been #21

My point is that beong ranked 20 or 22 is no different than being ranked 21. So how many times have we been 20 or 22?

Actually I think we are ranked about right. I still think Duke has the best team come March. My Final Four is Duke West Virginia, Villanova and my long shot is Arizona,

Jon Scott of Big Blue History has been mentioning this for a few years on Twitter. It is an anomaly that they had never been ranked number 21 but in reality not a big deal either. One reason too that they may have never been ranked at 21 was that the AP and UPI would only rank the top 20 until not that many years ago. I'm not sure when they went to top 25 but for a long time it was just top 20.

I would have to include Oklahoma in the mix. Trace Young is a game changer.
