I'm not saying he was bad. 8/7 isn't bad but below what Knox should produce. Plus he was just 2/8 shooting, had 3 TOs, and fouled out.

Not a terrible performance but not his best day.

Agree. He lead the team in rebounds.

After the UCLA game, Coach challenged his players. He told them they came here to play ball in the NBA but instead would end up at the YMCA if things didn't change, looks like they got the message against Louisville....

Just watched the highlights. Again. SGA was the best player on the floor for either team. Before the season started Cal said he has an "old man's game". He does and he showed it in spades vs Louisville. If we play Sunday like we did Saturday, good times could be ahead.

Looking back now...we were excited with how we competed against a solid VT team. Then thud...UCLA. Now awesome UL game. Makes you wonder if the UCLA game had dead legs from Camp Cal fatigue. We'll have other games where we look like a bunch of freshmen but the ceiling could be pretty high for this bunch. We came into the season claiming to have tempered expectations and knowing it would take a while but in true crazy fan fashion we still decided the sky was falling with our 1st clunker of a game. We just can't help ourselves.

Have been traveling for the holidays and just got back in late last night. At that point I didn't think a breakdown was necessary really, because there's not much to say about that sort of beatdown.

I thought Padgett panicked, and for the first time the UofL fanbase has started to go after him a little. Will be interesting to see how they respond. I still think UofL is a team with pretty good players. I mean some of those guys killed Kentucky last year and were no-shows in the game this weekend.

We've talked a lot about Shai and Wenyen, but one guy that jumped out to me was Killeya-Jones. I thought he did a great job. Was in on a lot of things, played great defense, and a couple of times I saw him taking guards and locking them down. Had a really good game and hopefully that will give him some confidence.

Will be a tough game today. Yante Maten has torn up far better players than this team has on its roster. If we're not careful he'll get 30 and 15 and every bit of momentum we gained Friday will be gone.

^^Me too. Just got back from a close friends place down at Lake Cumberland w/o any digital devices besides my phone(kept it off ). Lol. Loved it. I can see it being several years before UL is going to threaten the Cats in BB. They lose two seniors this year. The two 2018 recruits commited to UL de-committed. Same for their lone 2019 recruit. How many current players see the writing on the wall and bail?? Not sure how much talent they can draw at this time or in the near future.

It's going to be a pretty brutal four or five years for Louisville basketball. There's going to be a lot of soul searching, and really Padgett has no hope. No fan is going to get behind a rebuild job like he's going to have to do accomplish simply because of the losses they're going to have to take to get there.
