Agreed...certainly not based on last night. Took some bad shots but played 12 minutes and had 5 rebounds, 3 assists and one block.

Had one of the better games of his career against UofL.

Perfect illustration of a player who needs to stick it out and stay with the process. Still young. Great touch on his shot. Better athlete than most realize. Just not strong and has virtually no post game.

But he'll factor in to how this season ends up this year.

We're never going to win another championship as long as Cal's here, so every scholarship is a wasted scholarship.

For anyone to say Jones is a wasted scholarship, is beyond me. This kid is improving before our eyes. Does he take bad shots? Yes. Does he have defensive liabilities? Yes. Is he better now than last year? Absolutely. And he will be better next year.

Same for me. I think he's been pretty good overall this season. He will never be a great player and maybe just a role player but still could be a very valuable one.

James Wiseman is a guy who could single-handedly break the game of college basketball. One in a million type.

And heck, I really like this team. Just not really this year. Some of these guys have the potential to be Kentucky legends and play on really good teams that will be right there for a title.

Maybe, but I think some of them make stupid decisions and we're not going to get Zion Williamson. I hope I'm wrong on both of these accounts, but I don't believe Cal's recruiting is at the level it needs to be for a title level team to come together.

I think we'll continue to win a bunch of games but have an ultimately flawed team.

I would bet a whole lot of money that after Brad graduates (in 2 years) that Cal will also call it a UK career. He clearly has other interests, his age is slowly creeping up and I have been told by people in Lexington that his appearances and events have drastically declined this year. Focusing more on the team and family stuff and trying to scale back his schedule.

I hope Cal stays longer but it seems like Brad leaving would be a good time for him to do something else (or nothing else).

The focusing on the team part could be just because, ya know, freshmen laden teams like this need more attention.

He could. But the whiffs on recruiting in the last few years suggest to me that it ain't what it used to be.
