    Kansas Opens as 2.5-Point Favorite

Thought it might be a little more, but these early season betting lines for neutral court showcase games are usually tight.

I expect we'll compete well, and show some flashes, but I expect KU to win by about 8.

Would be a hell of a win for Kentucky if we could somehow get it.

All things considered it might be one of the bigger November wins of the Cal era.

Actually it looks like Oscar Combs was wrong on Twitter. Appears that the line opened at 2.5.

I will be surprised if we stay within 10.

I'll gladly take Kansas to cover. But, Vegas seems to know what they're doing.

So will I be surprised. If I was a betting man I'd take Kansas up to 10 points.

One thing I have learned is that you can't bet against Kentucky under Cal in a big game. This game is big. He may not say it, but he knows it's true.

Agree. Five frosh starters and have only practiced/played 25 sessions. A recipe for a "teaching experience." Kansas by 14.

I think its big if we win. Its also big if we lose by 30. But as young as we really are this time around--if we lose by 10-15 it doesn't really hurt us going forward. It just means everyone is right...we need time.

Still, its exciting to have early season premier matchups.

Yes. Their point guard, Devonte Graham, has been a fixture for a couple of years. Off-guard, Malik Newman, transferred from Mississippi State. Lagerald Vick (who leads them in scoring) and Svi Mykhaliuk have both played a lot of minutes. Their center, Azubuike, is coming back off an injury but played a little as a freshman.

They're probably ongoing going to play two freshmen: Billy Preston, whose first game will be tonight, and Marcus Garrett.

They lost three starters but return much, much more experience than UK. Also add in a very good transfer in Malik Newman and a couple or three really good freshman. Compared to UK they are a very veteran team with a lot of talent.
