Vermont @ Kentucky - Game Thread

This is going to be a sneaky early-season test, folks. We should be able to outclass the Vermont...CheesePeople or whatever they are, but there's enough of a possibility for a loss to approach this game with a bit of caution.

Either way, it's BASKETBALL, and that's what matters most.

God, I love the game 9:45 a.m. game thread.

Unfortunately I'm going to be out for this game and will have to tape. Son has a double-header starting at 4:30. Will have to find a way to ignore all social media and everybody at the gym who might try and tell me the score. Won't be easy.

Oh, and this game is going to be close. They returned four starters from a really good team.

Play like we did Friday and they'll beat us by double digits.

I wouldn't expect that, but I also would be surprised if we beat them by double digits. Think it'll be close going into the last TV time-out. We aren't ready for these veteran teams who will keep it together.

Bad series for Green, right there: shot from a terrible angle off the drive (second time), then went right down the court and got a reach-in.

Otherwise, I like how we’ve started this game. I don’t want to jump to conclusions, but so far it looks like our guys are all very active on defense. We’ve had a couple lapses that Vermont failed to recognize, but other than that we’ve done a great job.

Hami’s length is devastating.
