Thought Knox would be a shot creator. He never really took his man in the half court.

Actually he took his man quite a few times.

Problem is when he got in there and the help came he wasn't strong with the ball. Had the one huge dunk but other than that he missed a crap-ton of easy shots, and had the ball torn out of his hands on the block about seven times.

Physically weak but has the necessary electricity to take over games.

Well...could have been worse. Real nice 2nd half from Hami. Vermont will be a challenge.

Sorry to be late on this one. My PC at home was down and had to get it repaired and just got it back last night.

I still haven't watched all of this game but most of it. Going to the zone was the difference. I'm sure Pope had not prepared at all for that and it totally confused Utah Valley. I wish Cal would at least mix some zone in at times. Giving the other team a different look can confuse them. But everyone has seen UK's now and will be prepared for it. So don't expect it to be as effective next time. Utah Valley isn't a bad team. They may win their conference. They are a very experienced team and Pope seems to be a good coach. Also surprised that Utah Valley is the largest university in Utah at 37,000 students. When was the last time you saw a school President give the halftime pep talk? That was cool to see.

Personally I didn't like it, It gives Coach and players the notion the President doesn't have confidence in Coach Pope. An early pre-game talk might be OK, but at halftime he needs to stay in the stands and let his Coach do his job.
