    Season Starts Tonight

It all kicks off for real tonight. Quite a few games on television other than Kentucky, with the highlight probably being Texas A&M and West Virginia in the Armed Forces Classic in Germany. That game actually starts at 6:00.

Live scores for every 2025-26 NCAAM season game on ESPN. Includes box scores, video highlights, play breakdowns and updated odds.

Feels weird that the season is upon us, in earnest.

Let's lace 'em up and get number nine.

I'm for getting number nine!! Also excited to watch how this team develops. Bumpy road ahead I think, and looking forward to the ride.

I'm still not sold on the whole "bumpy road" thing that everybody keeps going on about.

They'll lose a couple of games in the non-conference, then have some bumps on the road in the SEC, but it won't be any more or any less than most of Cal's teams, I don't think.

I like two of the performers so... sacrifices.

What will be truly terrible is getting to the Lexington Opera House in the middle of home basketball game traffic.

You and the Missus should sneak in a fifth of whiskey. I always found that to be helpful under similar circumstances.

Isn't it unusual for both the men and women's teams to be playing at the same time? And both are home as well.

Looking forward to watching the Cats tonight. KSR has a preview of Mark Pope's team, and the starting five is made up of transfers from other Division One teams. I'm not saying they will beat Kentucky, but it looks like there will some talent on the court tonight.

Utah Valley has to turn around and play Duke tomorrow, which if you exclude conference and national tournament settings, has to be one of the tougher combos for two games in two days. At Rupp and then at Cameron Indoor? Ruthless!

As far as individuals I'm dying to see Diallo . Last year was a feast for fans that love guard play as the combo of Fox and Monk were simply electric. Needed some work defensively but otherwise what a wealth of pizzazz.

I want to see Diallo come out assertive and aggressive without clanking three's. Let's not start off the season with a night of, "D@#%-it, Hamido!" in the same vein as what Goodwin developed.

Diallo is older than Goodwin, so he's got that going for him. Archie was freakishly young.

Think he might be more of a willing passer as well. Archie could be very selfish. He'd take it one on four sometimes. From what I've seen so far Diallo isn't really that kind of player. He'll give it up. Has thrown several lobs already.

But there are definitely going to be some nights where he clanks a few. Inevitable. Will also be games where he causes severe problems because of his length and speed. Could be one of the fastest players Kentucky's had in some years not named John Wall.

Having to go see a production of the Lion King sounds like one of the joys of parenthood--tough tonight but a good memory 20 years from now!!!!!
